alien ant farm fans need to learn it's all about unity!

i gotta get this out. i'm kinda pissed at the message board on alien ant farm's (aaf) website. maybe i have been spoiled by 311...who knows. all i know is this, when i go to 311's message board, chatroom, whatever, i'm welcomed. anyone that is down w/ 311 is cool. no one judges b/c of other music you listen to. that's not the case w/ aaf's website, and do know that i realize the band has nothing to do w/ this. all these little brats are talking mad trash about anyone that likes 311 or any other band, for that fact. in fact, no one was talkingt about the shows or the music, it was just people talking trash about others and picking on them. well, please forgive anyone that actually wants to put their opinion down or write about something constructive. maybe this is why aaf doesn't actually use that message board, as opposed to 311. i really think someone ought to monitor that site. i did join b/c i thought i wanted to be apart of it. i really like aaf and wanted to give them their props, but i don't dare write in that message board. i can see some little jerk off writing some snide comment and a stream of obscenities would come out so fast they wouldn't know what hit them! this is why i think before i act. i know how i am, so i will just stay away from it altogether...but i do really like alien ant farm. their music has meaning...it's got feeling. and you know what? i was thinking about their band. one of the guys left the band...tony. so many people were talking trash about him on the message board. i couldn't believe it. if someone left 311, i would be devistated. but here's the crazy part...they were talking trash about the guy before he even left! what sense does it make to be all up on a band when you can't stand the people in the band? i just cannot understand it. it's downright stupid, if you ask me. i am so thankful to be apart of a group of people that actually supports people like 311 who actually stand for something good...peace, love and unity. you can't do any better than that. plain and simple. it's all love. hell, i think they're the ones that taught us all about the 'grassroots' way of doing things. you don't have to make a profit off everything...just help your fellow man. how does nick say it at the beginning of applied science 'see if we can get EVERYONE jumping up to the beat, TOGETHER....ONE ORGANISM IN CELEBRATION.' you can't get any sweeter than that, baby. |
