Sunday, Aug. 10, 2003 - 4:07 a.m. i took a little trip down to college hill tonight. i just didn't feel like staying. i did the same thing last night. nothing was going on, so i came home and went to bed. i did take a nice stroll around the block in the rain. well, it wasn't raining that bad. but i was cute. i had on my long khaki skirt w/ a black wrap around sweater, my black platform sandals and my black umbrella. i thought i was kinda cute, but i got tired, so i came home. i could have had a bit of excitement today, but again, i opted out of it. my cousin, tony, and his lover, tavaris, were over at my place today. we did nothing except listen to house music and ate pizza. well, at one point, i just happened to look out my window and what do i see rolling up in the parking lot? a black maxima w/ tinted windows. hmmm, wonder who that could be. none other than night rider, as my roommate calls him. it was funny seeing him speed in b/c he wasn't making any deliveries, no. he drove in, looked up at certain windows (guess whos?) and when he didn't see anyone, he drove off. now, i saw him, but he didn't see me. how? i was sitting in my chair behind my tall plant where i could see out, but no one can see in. the advantages of living on the 2nd floor, i suppose. so i can say today i was officially a good girl. i managed to clean so much of my apartment today. well, my living room anyway. as i have probably stated before, i do not like inside pets, but me and my roommate have been house sitting my neighbor's apartment while she's been gone. her cat, craig, is so needy! i've been letting him come over to our apartment sometimes b/c i know he gets lonely. well, there will be no more of that. today i cleaned the living room like a mad woman. i vacuumed w/ a small vacuum, then the industrial vacuum. i scrubbed and then sprayed down the living room w/ lysol. what does that mean, you ask? i have officially gotten rid of the cat hair and it ain't coming back. yeah, peeps, i even vacuumed the couch and futon. no more cat! and when my roommate called me from baltimore today, i told her the same. i got scared tonight, i will admit. i was on the computer reading about my favorite topic, 311, when i decided to check out the street team news, since i am apart of it. anyway, there's this story on there talking about finding the ghost in the picture. (thinking about this is scaring me now.) well, i clicked on the link that told me to go to it. here's the story. 311 did the photo shoot for their album at the famous ambassador hotel, which has had no one staying there since 1988, i think. lots of famous people have done vidoes and photo shoots there. anyway, it's rumored that the ghost of the people that died in the hotel are still there adn are even rumored to have been on the album cover of 'EVOLVER.' i thougth i picked out the ghost when all of a sudden.... well, if you haven't seen it and you are a part of the street team, go see it for yourself. if you aren't part of the street team...you just missed one of the scariest moments. next friday i am so excited. i am going to see something i have been waiting for, for a long time....FREDDY vs. JASON. yes, i don't know whether to put it w/ the nightmare on elm st. movies or friday the 13th movies. either way, i'm excited. a lot of people have voiced their dislike of the movie already. here's how i see it. people from my generation have been waiting for this movie for years! there hasn't been a good horror movie out since freddy and jason first starting staring in these movies. they are horror icons...when we think of horro, jason and freddy are the first to come to mind. unfortunately, nightmare on elm st. and friday the 13th got worse and worse as more were made. (well, wes craven's new nightmare was the scariest movie of all, i think.) now we have freddy vs. jason. this is probably the last time we will get to see them in the movies. really, i think they are going to end it for both of them in this movie. it only seems fitting. especially since they can't anymore friday the 13th movies. really people, jason can't do anything else, he's been dead a few times and yes, we get the picture, he kills relentlessly. in a fight w/ freddy against jason, who would win? well, i'm a freddy fan, so, of course, i'm going to say freddy. as far as strength is concerned, definitely jason b/c he's bigger, stronger and won't die. freddy, however, has always been dead and although he hasn't killed anywhere near as many people as jason, he's more dangerous just b/c he can get you in your dreams when you have no control over anything. he gets in your head and you're screwed. that's why i say freddy is more dangerous. either way, there's going to be a showdown friday, august 15 at the movie theater and this black girl will definitely be right up there in the mix watching...waiting for the final nightmare to end! |
